Last Stop for Miles

Didn’t get in to CFC Features but no matter. I’m working with Kate Green and Siobhan McCarthy and they are the Producers Extraordinaire. We’re making it happen!

In a few weeks I will hear whether I’ve been accepted into the CFC Features program at the Canadian Film Centre. I’ve also met someone I think would make a fantastic producing partner. We’re going to talk more seriously about this next week. Until then, the vision remains to shoot in fall 2011.

Had a fantastic meeting with a broadcaster today. The search for a producing partner continues. Getting closer every day.

Spent eight days in Vancouver attending the Industry Forum at the Vancouver International Film Festival and meeting with producers, sales agents and distributors. It was a very full week. The momentum for the project is humming along. I will hear back from CFC Features in a couple of months and I may get a producing partner out of the contacts I made at VIFF. Fingers crossed!

Sent in the application yesterday. Whew! Quite a lot of work. Won’t hear for about 8 weeks. Fingers crossed. 🙂
